Relive the Day 2 press conference

The 62nd FIFA Congress has concluded in Budapest, with all of it streamed live on FIFA.com. Our users have followed the events from the opening ceremony to the press conferences, with other highlights including the debates on the second day.

The Congress kicked off at 17.00 on Thursday with an opening ceremony which featured a festival of music and colour. In particular, the traditional parade of the flags representing the organisation’s 208 member associations struck a unique note this year, with the FIFA anthem played by local virtuoso Felix Lajko and his band. There were also performances by world-renowned pianist Balazs Havasi, rock singer Endi and opera singer Erika Miklosa.

The entire show is available to rewatch as it happened by accessing the video on the right hand side.

Then, the following day at 09.30, the Congress meeting itself got under way, with issues such as FIFA reform on the agenda. Next up was a press conference at 17.00 CET, when FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter answered questions from journalists in Budapest. Like the rest of the Congress, you are invited to relive this conference on FIFA.com.

For eliminating penalty competitions I suggest: 1) Golden goal and 2) Eight players on field.

I think it's not the penalties but the extra time that should be eliminated (at least in two match ties) simply because it's a 30 minute deciding mini-match played at the home of the second team which is obviously unfair to the team that, by just the luck of the draw, had to play the first leg of a tie at home. This method of going directly to Penalty Kicks after 180 minutes end with a global draw (taking into account away goals) is already in place in the Copa Libertadores and is more fair imo.

i suggest : each team splits into two groups,an attacker and a defender, like 4 defenders a goal keeper and 6 attackers.the attacker group of each team faces the defender group of the opposing team.each encounter happens in a half of the footbal field and at the same time with the other encounter.the team that scores the first goal will be victorius.if the ball goas out, always the attacker team will have the ball.if one encounter is stopped because of a player being injured, the other encounter will also be stopped.
