Hernandez signs Palermo contract extension

Uruguayan forward Abel Hernandez on Sunday signed a contract extension keeping him at Italian club Palermo for another four years.

The 21-year-old joined the Sicilian Serie A side from top-flight Penarol in 2009 and has now put pen to paper to stay in Italy until June 2016.

"I'm really delighted, I feel great at Palermo," he said. "I've always thought about these colours and my only desire was to stay here."
